What is CVE-2025-4231?

A command injection vulnerability exists in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS®, allowing authenticated administrative users to execute commands with root privileges. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker needs network access to the management web interface and must successfully authenticate. It is important to note that Cloud NGFW and Prisma Access are not affected. Organizations using affected PAN-OS® versions should implement necessary precautions to safeguard their systems.
