What is CVE-2025-43807?

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the notifications widget of Liferay Portal versions 7.4.0 through 7.4.3.112 and Liferay DXP versions ranging from 2023.Q4.0 to 2023.Q4.8 as well as 2023.Q3.1 to 2023.Q3.10. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML through a specially crafted payload inserted into the 'Name' text field of a publication. Such an exploit could facilitate unauthorized actions on behalf of the users and compromise the integrity of the web application.
