A vulnerability in Adminer 4.8.1 utilizes Monolog for logging, allowing remote unauthenticated attackers to exploit crafted serialized payloads. This leads to excessive memory consumption, making the Adminer interface unresponsive and can result in a server-level denial of service. When a malicious serialized object is sent, it may trigger a situation where the server becomes overwhelmed and crashes, requiring manual intervention to restore functionality. Recovery may take several minutes, but multiple concurrent requests can exacerbate the issue.
