What is CVE-2025-46329?

The Snowflake Connector for C/C++ (libsnowflakeclient) has a vulnerability where, under DEBUG logging settings, it incorrectly logs the client-side encryption master key used during GET/PUT commands. This logging occurs locally and may expose sensitive information to unauthorized users, although the key alone does not grant access without additional permissions. The issue has been remedied in version 2.2.0, and it is advised to update to this version to mitigate risks.

Affected Version(s)

libsnowflakeclient >= 0.5.0, < 2.2.0
