What is CVE-2025-47289?

CE Phoenix, an open-source eCommerce platform, is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack in versions 1.0.9.9 to 1.1.0.2. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious JavaScript into testimonial fields. If a shop owner approves such testimonials, the script can execute in the browser context of users visiting the page. The lack of the 'HttpOnly' flag on session cookies further allows attackers to potentially exfiltrate these cookies, leading to account takeover risks. Users are advised to update to version 1.1.0.3 to mitigate this security issue.
