What is CVE-2025-48472?
FreeScout, a self-hosted help desk system, contains a vulnerability that allows users to disable notifications for mailboxes they already have access to without proper checks. Additionally, the flaw permits users to gain access to mailboxes they do not have permissions for simply by toggling the notification settings. This critical oversight has been resolved in version 1.8.179, ensuring better security practices for user access control.
