FreeScout, a self-hosted help desk solution, is susceptible to a mass assignment vulnerability in user record management. Before version 1.8.180, an oversight in the fill() method allowed users with the right to edit others' accounts to alter their passwords without proper validation. This flaw enables unauthorized changes to user credentials, posing a significant risk to system security. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.8.180.
