Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Adobe ColdFusion
CVE-2025-49542
What is CVE-2025-49542?
Adobe ColdFusion versions 2025.2, 2023.14, and 2021.20, along with earlier releases, are susceptible to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw by convincing a user to click on a crafted URL targeting a vulnerable page. Consequently, malicious JavaScript can be executed in the context of the user's browser, allowing the attacker to manipulate the user interface or steal sensitive information. This vulnerability is limited to internal IP addresses, heightening the necessity for organizations to secure their ColdFusion deployments.
