What is CVE-2025-49577?

The Citizen MediaWiki skin is affected by a vulnerability that allows users with editing permissions to insert arbitrary HTML into the Document Object Model (DOM). This flaw results from the way various preference messages are rendered as raw HTML, enabling possible exploitation of the site’s integrity. Users are encouraged to update to version 3.3.1 or later to mitigate this risk.
