CVE-2025-49588
8.7HIGH
What is CVE-2025-49588?
Linkwarden, a self-hosted open-source collaborative bookmark manager, suffered from an improper input validation vulnerability in version 2.10.2. The server permitted links in the 'file://' format, specifically allowing access to sensitive files like '/etc/passwd' without adequate validation. This flaw exposed the potential for confidential user links to be leaked and, in some scenarios, might also compromise environment secrets. It is crucial to upgrade to version 2.10.3, which addresses this vulnerability.
