CVE-2025-49832
What is CVE-2025-49832?
Asterisk, an open-source telephony toolkit, has a vulnerability that could allow remote attackers to exploit the system under certain conditions. This vulnerability exists in the verification.c module where an attacker can manipulate the Identity header, especially when STIR/SHAKEN is enabled with verification in the SIP profile. If successful, this could lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) situation or possible remote code execution. The issue has been addressed in later versions, ensuring that users are protected against these types of attacks.
