What is CVE-2025-50096?

A vulnerability exists in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL within the InnoDB component. It affects supported versions from 8.0.0 to 8.0.42, 8.4.0 to 8.4.5, and 9.0.0 to 9.3.0. This vulnerability can be easily exploited by an attacker with high privileges who has authenticated access to the MySQL Server environment. When successfully exploited, the attacker could cause the MySQL Server to hang or crash repeatedly, resulting in a complete denial of service (DoS). This presents serious implications for running applications that rely on the availability of MySQL services.
