What is CVE-2025-52930?
A vulnerability exists in the BMPv3 RLE Decoding functionality of the SAIL Image Decoding Library v0.9.8. This flaw leads to a heap-based buffer overflow when decompressing data from a maliciously crafted .bmp file. A successful exploit can allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely by convincing the library to process the compromised image file.
