What is CVE-2025-53042?

An identified vulnerability in Oracle's MySQL Server allows a high-privileged attacker with network access to exploit the optimizer component. This easily exploitable vulnerability could enable unauthorized users to provoke a hang or lead to a frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server, effectively causing a denial of service.
