What is CVE-2025-53108?

HomeBox, a home inventory and organization tool, has a vulnerability that arises from a missing authorization check in its API endpoints. This flaw, present in versions before 0.20.1, allows authenticated users to manipulate or delete inventory item attachments that they do not own. This can lead to significant unauthorized data alterations or the potential loss of important inventory information. Users are advised to update to version 0.20.1, as there are no workarounds available to mitigate this issue.
