What is CVE-2025-53409?

A vulnerability has been identified in File Station 5 by QNAP that allows for allocation of resources without appropriate limits or throttling. If a remote attacker gains access to a user account, they can exploit this vulnerability to monopolize resources, resulting in denial of access to other systems, applications, or processes that require similar resources. Users are advised to update to version 5.5.6.5018 or later to mitigate this risk.
