What is CVE-2025-53533?
The Pi-hole Admin Interface is susceptible to reflected cross-site scripting vulnerabilities in versions 6.2.1 and earlier. Attackers can exploit this flaw by sending users a specially crafted URL that triggers arbitrary JavaScript execution in the victim's browser upon visiting the malicious link. The issue arises due to improper handling of the requested path in the class attribute of the body tag in the 404 error page, allowing for the execution of attacker's code. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to version 6.3 to mitigate this risk.
