Out-of-Bounds Write Vulnerability in Ashlar-Vellum Products
CVE-2025-53705
8.4HIGH
What is CVE-2025-53705?
In several Ashlar-Vellum applications, including Cobalt, Xenon, Argon, Lithium, and Cobalt Share, a critical issue arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied inputs during the parsing of CO files. This flaw can permit an out-of-bounds write, potentially enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code within the current process's context. Users of these applications are advised to apply updates to mitigate security risks and protect their systems.
