What is CVE-2025-53945?
The apko utility, utilized for building and publishing OCI container images from apk packages, has a vulnerability related to file permissions. In versions 0.27.0 through 0.29.5, critical files were incorrectly set with broad write permissions (0666). This misconfiguration poses a risk of unauthorized root escalation, allowing malicious users to exploit this weakness. Users are encouraged to update to version 0.29.5, where the issue has been addressed.
