What is CVE-2025-5449?
A flaw in the SFTP server message decoding logic of libssh permits an integer overflow due to an improper packet length check. This issue specifically affects 32-bit systems and can lead to failed memory allocation, ultimately crashing the server process and resulting in a denial of service. The vulnerability arises when large payload sizes are handled.
