A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability is present in the MFER parsing functionality of The Biosig Project's libbiosig version 3.9.0 and the Master Branch (35a819fa). This issue arises when processing a specially crafted MFER file, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability triggers during the handling of specific MFER tags, particularly noticeable in the code at line 9184 of biosig.c, where improper length verification of input data can lead to exploitable conditions.
