What is CVE-2025-54868?

Versions 0.0.6 through 0.7.7-rc1 of LibreChat, a ChatGPT clone offering additional features, are subject to a serious vulnerability due to an exposed testing API endpoint. Specifically, the /api/search/test endpoint facilitates unauthorized reading of stored user chats from the Meilisearch engine, lacking access controls that should typically safeguard user data. This vulnerability allows unauthorized users to access and read chats from other users, raising significant privacy and security concerns. The issue has been addressed in version 0.7.7.
