WeGIA, an open-source web management tool primarily used in Portuguese charitable institutions, experienced a path traversal vulnerability in its download_remessa.php endpoint. This flaw, present in versions prior to 3.4.8, enables attackers to access sensitive local files on the server, potentially compromising the config.php file, which contains critical database access information. The issue has been addressed and patched in version 3.4.8.
