What is CVE-2025-55282?
Aiven's database migration tool, aiven-db-migrate, prior to version 1.0.7, contains a vulnerability that allows unauthorized users to gain superuser privileges in PostgreSQL databases during migrations from untrusted source servers. This issue arises due to the absence of necessary restrictions on the search_path configuration, enabling attackers to manipulate pg_catalog and execute untrusted commands with elevated privileges. Users are advised to upgrade to version 1.0.7 or later to mitigate this risk.
