What is CVE-2025-55283?
The aiven-db-migrate tool is susceptible to a privilege escalation issue where untrusted source servers can lead to unauthorized superuser access within PostgreSQL databases during migration. This occurs because the psql command execution allows commands embedded in migration dumps from untrusted sources, resulting in the potential for misuse and unauthorized privileges. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.0.7.
