Unauthenticated Server-Side Request Forgery in TCL Smart TV
CVE-2025-55971
What is CVE-2025-55971?
The TCL 65C655 Smart TV is susceptible to a blind Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) due to vulnerabilities in its UPnP MediaRenderer service on firmware version V8-R75PT01-LF1V269.001116. This flaw allows unauthenticated users to send SetAVTransportURI SOAP requests over TCP/16398, facilitating the retrieval of external URIs, including those controlled by attackers. By exploiting this vulnerability, unauthorized requests can be made on behalf of the device, potentially exposing internal and external services accessible by the TV, leading to further security risks.
