What is CVE-2025-57615?

An integer overflow flaw exists in the rust-ffmpeg library, particularly within the Vector::new constructor function. This issue allows for potential denial of service attacks via a null pointer dereference. The root cause is an unchecked cast from a usize parameter to c_int, which can inadvertently pass a negative value to the C function sws_allocVec(), resulting in unstable behavior during media processing operations.
