What is CVE-2025-58178?

A command injection vulnerability exists in the SonarQube Scan GitHub Action, impacting versions 4 to 5.3.0 of SonarQube Server and Cloud. This flaw allows untrusted input arguments to be processed without proper validation, treating them as shell expressions which may result in the execution of arbitrary commands. To mitigate this issue, users are encouraged to upgrade to SonarQube Scan GitHub Action version 5.3.1, which includes critical fixes to address this vulnerability.
