What is CVE-2025-58365?

The XWiki blog application permits logged-in users to create and edit blog posts, which introduced a significant vulnerability prior to version 9.14. Specifically, any user with edit rights could potentially execute arbitrary code by adding an object of type Blog.BlogPostClass to any page. By including a malicious script macro in the 'Content' field, attackers could exploit this vulnerability to execute unauthorized commands on the server. The issue has been addressed in version 9.14, which ensures that the content of blog posts is executed with appropriate author rights, mitigating the risk of such exploits.
