Heap-Based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in rAthena MMORPG Server
CVE-2025-58447
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2025-58447?
The rAthena MMORPG server suffers from a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in its login server. Attackers can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted CA_SSO_LOGIN_REQ message containing an oversized token length. This could lead to denial of service due to server crashes, and it may allow attackers to achieve remote code execution through heap corruption. The issue has been addressed in commit 2f5248b, making it crucial for users to update their servers to the latest version.
