What is CVE-2025-59525?

Horilla, a free and open-source Human Resource Management System, is vulnerable due to improper sanitization of user inputs. This vulnerability allows attackers to upload SVG files and utilize allowed tags to execute malicious JavaScript whenever users access the compromised content, such as announcements. If exploited, this could lead to a complete takeover of admin accounts. The issue has been resolved in version 1.4.0 of the application.
