What is CVE-2025-59829?

The vulnerability allows unauthorized file access due to improper handling of symlinks in Claude Code. Versions prior to 1.0.120 did not adequately enforce permission rules when symlinks were involved. This oversight means that if a user restricted access to a file, the application could still gain access through a symlink that pointed to it. Users are advised to update their software to version 1.0.120 or later to mitigate this issue, especially those who manage updates manually.
