What is CVE-2025-60007?

A vulnerability exists in the chassis daemon (chassisd) of Juniper Networks' Junos OS, which affects MX, SRX, and EX Series devices. This flaw enables a local attacker with limited privileges to execute a crafted 'show chassis' command that causes the chassisd process to crash and restart. As a result, all components within the chassis, with the exception of the Routing Engine, are reinitialized, leading to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition that disrupts service. Though the system can recover automatically, the vulnerability poses risks to service availability.
