What is CVE-2025-61593?

A vulnerability in versions 1.7 and below of Cursor's CLI Agent compromises the security of sensitive files, specifically '*/.cursor/cli.json'. Through prompt injection, attackers can manipulate file contents, potentially achieving remote code execution (RCE). This issue primarily affects environments with case-insensitive filesystems, increasing the risk of unauthorized access and code alteration.
