Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Emlog Website Builder
CVE-2025-61597
What is CVE-2025-61597?
Emlog is an open source website building system that suffers from an HTML template injection vulnerability in versions 2.5.21 and earlier. This issue allows for stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks through the mail template settings. When a malicious payload is saved, any subsequent access to the settings page by an authenticated administrator can trigger the execution of the attacker's JavaScript code. This can lead to session or token theft, potentially enabling full administrative account takeover. A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in version 2.5.22.
