What is CVE-2025-6171?

GitLab has addressed a significant access control vulnerability in its Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) which affects multiple versions. Authenticated users with reporter access could exploit this vulnerability to view sensitive branch names and pipeline details through the packages API endpoint, even if they did not have permission to access the repository. This unauthorized access poses a risk to the confidentiality of project details and could enable further exploitation.
