What is CVE-2025-62596?

In the container runtime Youki, versions prior to 0.5.7 exhibit an issue with apparmor's write-target validation. This vulnerability allows for insufficiently strict validation during write operations, leading to potential unauthorized alterations within procfs locations. The flaw arises when path resolution is manipulated through a shared mount race condition, permitting an attacker to alter the target of write operations unexpectedly. Users are advised to upgrade to version 0.5.7, which addresses this critical oversight.
