NULL Pointer Dereference Vulnerability in GnuTLS Software
CVE-2025-6395

6.5MEDIUM

What is CVE-2025-6395?

A NULL pointer dereference flaw was identified in the GnuTLS software specifically in the function _gnutls_figure_common_ciphersuite(). This flaw occurs when the software processes certain configurations from a template file, enabling an attacker to induce an out-of-bounds (OOB) NULL pointer write. The exploitation of this vulnerability can cause memory corruption, which may lead to system crashes and result in a denial of service (DoS). Mitigation of this issue is essential to ensure system stability and security.
