File Access Vulnerability in KubeVirt by Red Hat
CVE-2025-64324
8.5HIGH
What is CVE-2025-64324?
KubeVirt, a virtual machine management extension for Kubernetes, has a vulnerability related to the hostDisk feature. This feature permits the mounting of a host file or directory owned by the user with UID 107 into a virtual machine. A logic error in the implementation, specifically within the DiskOrCreate option, can allow attackers to read and write arbitrary files owned by users with higher privileges on the host system. This flaw was addressed in versions 1.6.1 and 1.7.0 of KubeVirt.
