What is CVE-2025-64335?
A NULL dereference vulnerability exists in Suricata, a prominent network IDS and IPS engine, affecting versions from 8.0.0 to prior to 8.0.2. This issue arises when the 'entropy' keyword is misused alongside base64_data, potentially leading to application crashes. The problem has been resolved in version 8.0.2. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version or, as a temporary workaround, disable specific rules utilizing the entropy keyword in conjunction with base64_data to prevent exploitation.
