Race Condition Vulnerability in Hybrid Public Key Encryption Module from Dajiaji
CVE-2025-64767
9.1CRITICAL
What is CVE-2025-64767?
The hpke-js module, a Hybrid Public Key Encryption tool based on the Web Cryptography API, has a critical race condition in the SenderContext Seal() API prior to version 1.7.5. This vulnerability allows an attacker to exploit the reuse of the same AEAD nonce during multiple Seal() calls, ultimately compromising the confidentiality and integrity of the messages produced. Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to version 1.7.5 or later to mitigate this risk.
