What is CVE-2025-66025?

Caido, a web security auditing toolkit, had a security vulnerability related to its Markdown renderer prior to version 0.53.0. This flaw allowed user-supplied Markdown to be rendered without appropriate validation, meaning that malicious links could be included in findings. When users opened such findings and clicked on the injected links, they could be redirected to domains controlled by attackers, potentially leading to phishing attacks. This vulnerability was addressed in version 0.53.0, which implemented necessary safeguards against such exploits.
