Server-Side Template Injection in Grav CMS Affects Authenticated Users
CVE-2025-66299
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2025-66299?
Grav CMS, a file-based web platform, is susceptible to a Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) vulnerability affecting all versions prior to 1.8.0-beta.27. This flaw enables authenticated users with editor permissions to execute arbitrary code on the server, circumventing the security measures in place. The issue arises due to incomplete protection of the Twig object within the Grav security sandbox, allowing malicious users to inject crafted Twig template directives. Consequently, these directives grant the ability to manipulate the Twig attribute system, thereby compromising the web application's integrity. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.8.0-beta.27.
