What is CVE-2025-66373?

Akamai Ghost on Akamai CDN edge servers prior to November 17, 2025, is vulnerable due to a flaw in processing chunked request bodies. This weakness occurs when an invalid chunked body, containing a mismatched chunk size, is received. Under specific conditions, Akamai Ghost may forward the invalid requests along with extraneous bytes to the origin server. This behavior could allow an attacker to disguise a smuggled request within these additional bytes, depending on how the origin server handles the malformed request. The potential for exploitation hinges on the configurations and processing methods employed by the origin server.
