What is CVE-2025-66515?
The Nextcloud Approval app contains a vulnerability that allows an authenticated user, listed as a requester in a workflow, to initiate a file approval process without having the necessary access rights. This is achieved by utilizing the numeric file ID to set a target user's file into a 'pending approval' status. This flaw compromises the integrity of the file approval workflow and was addressed in versions 1.3.1 and 2.5.0.
