What is CVE-2025-67445?

A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the TOTOLINK X5000R where inadequate bounds checking in the CGI script /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi allows for massive memory allocation based on the CONTENT_LENGTH environment variable. If the lighttpd request size limit is not adequately enforced, an attacker can send a specially crafted large POST request, potentially causing memory exhaustion or a segmentation fault. This can lead to a crash of the management CGI, rendering the web interface unavailable and affecting the overall functionality of the device.
