What is CVE-2025-68150?

Prior to the release of versions 8.6.2 and 9.1.1-alpha.1, the Instagram authentication adapter in Parse Server allowed misconfiguration via the apiURL parameter in authData, which could be exploited for SSRF attacks. This vulnerability could enable attackers to specify malicious endpoints that return deceptive responses, potentially bypassing authentication mechanisms. The issue has been addressed in later versions by hardcoding the Instagram Graph API URL and disregarding user-supplied apiURL values. No alternative mitigation strategies have been indicated.
