What is CVE-2025-68230?

This vulnerability in the Linux kernel affects AMD graphics products, particularly in environments using PF passthrough. After hibernation, a resumed session may trigger a GPU page fault due to improper restoration of partition mode. Specifically, following hibernation, the graphics processing unit (GPU) accesses memory with an incorrect stride size, leading to out-of-bounds errors. The issue has been addressed by ensuring that the appropriate compute partition switch function is invoked upon resuming from hibernation, thus maintaining proper GPU operation.
