What is CVE-2025-70327?

The TOTOLINK X5000R router presents a command injection vulnerability in its setDiagnosisCfg handler, specifically in the /usr/sbin/lighttpd executable. The issue arises when the ip parameter is processed by websGetVar and utilized in the ping command without proper validation. As it does not verify if the input begins with a hyphen (-), this flaw enables remote authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary command-line options into the ping utility. Such exploitation can trigger excessive resource consumption or prolonged execution, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
