What is CVE-2025-71231?

A local variable 'i' is incorrectly initialized, leading to improper index management in a loop. This flaw can cause a function to potentially return an out-of-bounds index, which results in invalid memory access when the function is triggered, creating opportunities for exploitation and system instability. The issue has been resolved by ensuring that the function returns a valid index or a specific error signal when no suitable compression mode is available.
